Privacy Policy
Effective 1 August 2026 · Version 1.0
This policy explains what Vyoma Technologies Limited ("Vyoma", "we") collects when you use Svaya, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers the app and this website.
The short version. Camera video is processed on your device and is never uploaded. We store the numbers your workouts produce — reps, weights, heart rate, timestamps — because that's what makes the app useful to you and your trainer. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we are
Vyoma Technologies Limited is a single-member limited liability company organised in the State of Ohio, United States. We are the data controller for the information described here. Reach us at privacy@getsvaya.com.
What we collect
Camera and body-position data
When you record a set, Svaya uses your camera to estimate the position of your joints. Video frames are analysed on your device in real time and then discarded. They are not saved to our servers, and we cannot see them. What leaves your device is a set of derived measurements: repetition counts, movement-quality scores, confidence values, and timing.
We do not use body-position data to identify you, and we do not build a biometric template or faceprint from it.
Health and fitness data
If you connect a heart-rate monitor or grant access to Apple Health or Google Health Connect, we receive the readings you authorise — typically heart rate, and optionally body weight and workout history. We use these to show your session data and compute training summaries. You can revoke access at any time in your device settings.
We do not use health data for advertising or marketing, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Account information
To create an account we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash). If a trainer invites you, we also record the link between your account and theirs.
Waitlist signups
If you join the waitlist on this website, we store your email address, whether you identified as a trainer, the country your request came from, and a truncated one-way hash of your IP address used only to detect abuse. We use this to email you when Svaya launches. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
Payment information
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Those companies process your payment details; we never receive your card number. We receive confirmation that a subscription is active and when it renews or lapses.
Technical and diagnostic data
We collect crash reports, app version, device model, and operating system version so we can fix defects. This is tied to a random installation identifier rather than to your name.
Why we use it
- To run the app. Counting your reps, showing your history, syncing across your devices.
- To connect you with your trainer. If you join through a trainer, they see the workout data from the programs they assign you. They cannot see workouts you log outside those programs.
- To improve accuracy. We study aggregated, de-identified measurements to find where our models get things wrong. Not your video, because we don't have it.
- To keep accounts secure and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate the app — hosting, database, crash reporting, email delivery — and only as far as they need it. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
If you're connected to a trainer, that trainer sees your program data as described above. You can disconnect at any time.
We may disclose information if legally compelled, or to protect someone's safety. If Vyoma is ever acquired, your data would transfer with the business, and we'd tell you before that happened.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep your workout history for as long as your account is open, because the value of training data is in the trend. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except records we're required to retain (such as transaction records for tax purposes) and de-identified aggregates that can no longer be linked to you.
Your choices
- See your data. Request a copy of everything associated with your account.
- Correct it. Edit your profile in the app, or ask us to fix anything else.
- Delete it. Delete your account from within the app, or email us and we'll do it.
- Withdraw consent. Turn off camera or health access in your device settings. The app keeps working with reduced functionality.
- Object or restrict. If your jurisdiction grants these rights, exercise them by writing to us.
Write to privacy@getsvaya.com and we'll respond within 30 days. We won't charge you or degrade your service for making a request.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to people who need it and requires multi-factor authentication. No system is perfect; if we ever have a breach affecting your data, we'll notify you and the relevant regulators as required by law.
Children
Svaya is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
Where your data is held
Our servers are in the United States. If you use Svaya from outside the US, your data is transferred here, and US law applies to it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. The version and date at the top always reflect the current text.
